Consis and Sencare together until the last mile
Milano, March 6, 2024 – Consis, a reference point in the public administration, healthcare, and wellness markets, with products and services in the field of medical informatics, medical devices, consulting, and training, and Sencare, a digital solution for home care born within the startup studio Startup Bakery, have entered into a partnership that will see them offering a complete solution for the digitalization of medical home care.
The agreement is part of the investments that Consis Group has been making in R&D in the field of Digital Medicine and Technomedicine (Telemedicine) since 2014, aimed at developing a Suite of health products (Suite HO). Among these is the €200,000 investment in Sencare made last December 2022, which adds to the €300,000 already invested by the Startup Bakery group.
Through this collaboration the two companies will involve the entire home care supply chain in the technological flow, from facilities to medical personnel, to caregivers and the “last mile,” meaning the patient. This is made possible by Consis's digital medicine services, medical devices, and reporting systems on one hand, and the organization and automated management of typical home care activities, alongside communication services with the patient guaranteed by Sencare, on the other.

The third startup emerged from Startup Bakery, the startup studio specializing in sustainable B2B SaaS solutions based on Artificial Intelligence, Sencare represents an intelligent cloud assistant that allows specialized home care organizations to choose, organize, and supervise care, providing the independence and peace of mind that patients and their families need. The solution connects care organizations with home care professionals, patients, and their caregivers, making both the delivery and monitoring of services more efficient and allowing both facilities and families to supervise the quality and punctuality of the services received by the patient.

The first entity to benefit from the collaboration is the company Loreari in Bologna, led by Silvia Terzi, active in first-response home care, long-term treatment, and chronic conditions. Sencare and the Consis Group will jointly offer their services for one year.

Founded in 2007 and active in the Digital Health market, it initiated its first public projects in the field of Digital Medicine back in 2014, extending its presence in the private market since 2021, launching proximity medicine projects in Italy and other European and North American countries. These geographical organization models through "territorial clusters" enable people and their families to interact with the main players already present close to where their lives take place: home, work, sports, school, university, pharmacy, clinic, laboratory, etc. The main objective is to bring about a cultural change in the way individuals take care of themselves through the introduction of prevention into everyone's lifestyle, in the name of the ancient adage: “prevention is better than cure.” In fact, today we might, after centuries, correct this phrase by stating that: “prevention helps to cure better and sooner.” Indeed, the benefits that derive from this process, now possible thanks to digital transformation, benefit everyone, both those managing healthcare expenses, who see a significant improvement in the economic value of health needs for each individual, and above all, their beneficiaries, namely the people, who see improved life expectancy as well as a better quality of life even in chronic cases. Following this model, between 2022 and 2024, various cluster projects have been launched in Italy and abroad, including a project for chronic subjects funded with PNRR funds in the Sicily Region, a project with Federfarma titled “Prevention in Pharmacy” in the Lazio Region, in Occupational Medicine in the Apulia Region, and in Emilia Romagna with the Loreari company in Bologna.
