Il Sole 24 Ore: innovation, 2022 and the algorithm that identifies growth sectors for those investing in startups
In the column "Info Data – news told with numbers", Il Sole 24 Ore analyzes the 2022 performance of the early-stage startup sector by interpreting the data from QuSeed, the SaaS platform of Startup Bakery, which, using Artificial Intelligence, aims to provide a pulse on the Innovation market.
The 2022 was not a great year for the innovation ecosystem. Globally, the number of startups founded decreased by 63% compared to 2021, funding rounds by 30.5% and the capital raised by 26.7%. Numbers that emerge from analyzing the database of Crunchbase, a company that collects data related to businesses. These were analyzed by QuSeed, software as a service developed by Startup Bakery, an Italian startup studio founded in 2020.
The algorithm did not simply perform a general calculation on the trend of startups worldwide, but also identified the growing sectors and those that are not.

They are, in other words, sectors that are in significant growth and are talked about little: the perfect profile of the areas to invest in, obviously with the hope that one of these startups becomes a unicorn…
