  • The new resources will be allocated towards the evolution of the technological platform, the expansion of the healthcare professional network, and the consolidation of the commercial presence of the company established within Startup Bakery, in a market destined to become increasingly central to the future of Italian healthcare.

  • Across the more than 30 already active clients, Sencare registered a reduction of up to 40% in time dedicated to planning activities and up to 65% in administrative errors, allowing organizations to recover up to 9 man-days per month.

  • More time for caring for people, less bureaucratic burden, and better overall quality of service, thanks to the automation of operational flows and the optimization of professional travel.

Milan, June 30, 2026 – According to the latest estimates, the progressive demographic aging, the spread of chronic pathologies, and the need to decongest hospital and residential facilities (nursing homes) are leading home care to play an increasingly strategic role in coordinating operators, families, and local services, demanding more and more innovative tools.

It is within this context that the growth of Sencare takes place, the healthtech startup born within Startup Bakery, specialized in the digitalization of home care, which today announces the closing of a post-seed round of 500 thousand euros thanks to the support of Consis by Vincenzo Papa - which has further strengthened its investment in the company - Gama Partecipazioni by Gianmarco Ferrari, Raimondo Milano Franco d'Aragona, and other angel investors.

Added to the 500 thousand euros previously invested (300,000 by Startup Bakery through SB Lab between the pre-seed and seed phases and 200,000 also from Consis), this latest transaction brings the startup's total funding to 1 million euros. The new resources will be dedicated to the evolution of the technological platform, the expansion of the network of healthcare professionals, and the consolidation of the commercial presence on the Italian market.

"Today, home care is still managed with phone calls, Excel sheets, WhatsApp messages, and fragmented processes. Our vision is to offer sector operators a single operating system that allows them to coordinate people, activities, and information in a simple, secure, and efficient way,” stated Gennaro A. Garoldi, CEO of Sencare. "This round will allow us to further accelerate the development of the platform and expand the ecosystem of services we are building around home care.”

In its growth process, Sencare has indeed begun to build qualified relationships in the territory through strategic partnerships. The startup is also one of the Zoners of OpenZone, Zambon Spa's campus in Bresso which hosts some of the main biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and advanced gene therapy companies at a national and international level.

"Since its birth, we have seen in Sencare much more than management software: we saw the opportunity to address a concrete and structural problem with a scalable and measurable solution, a digital infrastructure capable of supporting the evolution of home care in Italy", commented Alessandro Arrigo, CEO and Co-founder of Startup Bakery. “The results achieved by clients confirm the validity of the work carried out by the entire team and demonstrate how an approach based on first-party data can free up precious time for patient care while reducing operational inefficiencies and complexities. The closing of this round confirms the value of the path traveled so far and allows us to face a new phase of growth in a market that in the coming years will have an increasingly significant impact on people's quality of life and the sustainability of the healthcare system”.

The funding fits into a particularly dynamic phase for the company, which aims to further strengthen its role as a benchmark for home care operators. For this reason, the opening of a further round of at least 2 million euros will be announced shortly, no longer to support operations but to scale its approach, increasing its effectiveness in the area, not only in Italy (already today Sencare has a presence in Switzerland).

More time for care, less time for bureaucracy

The cloud platform developed by Sencare helps cooperatives, care agencies, pharmacies, and healthcare organizations manage home care in an integrated way. The objective is to reduce the organizational complexity of home care and improve the leadership among all actors involved, centralizing in a single digital environment all activities, from the planning of interventions to the coordination of operators, up to the monitoring of activities in the field and communication with families and numerous administrative processes.

In the projects already activated, Sencare recorded a reduction of up to 40% in terms of time dedicated to activity planning and up to 65% in administrative errors, allowing organizations to recover, thanks to data and the use of AI, up to nine man-days per month previously absorbed by low value-added activities. The automation of operational flows and the optimization of travel also allow professionals on the ground to dedicate more time to direct citizen care, reducing the bureaucratic burden and improving the overall quality of the service.

On one hand, the platform allows professionals to consult their activity plan, register and certify home visits via geolocation, and update visit-related information in real-time. At the same time, it provides a secure and traceable communication system that replaces informal tools such as phone calls, messages, and personal chats, helping to ensure greater data protection and compliance with privacy regulations. But a central role is also reserved for families who can access updated information on scheduled and completed interventions, consult the access calendar, and send requests directly to the organization providing the service.

In this way, operators, coordinators, assisted parties, and family members share the same information flow, promoting a more efficient and transparent management of care.

The Studio guarantees the serial application of tools, skills, and methodologies already present in the team and supports the co-founder in all phases, from fundraising to exit, gradually making them more and more independent. Thanks to a proprietary algorithm, in fact, it can count on advanced market data collection and processing capabilities to identify niches of interest to occupy, while the cyclical validation of started projects is guaranteed by the application of the lean method. To date, Startup Bakery has launched and invested in 5 startups: Veterly (2021, PetTech), Condeo (2022, PropTech); Sencare (2022, HealthTech), EsgMax (2023, Sustainability), and Kontai (2025, FinOps).
